Anagenesis has selected Krasnodar Krai (meaning the extensive area around the city of Krasnodar), for its Russian operation. After extensive research, Anagenesis is able to choose from either of two opportunities: 1. A former Kolkhoz (collective farm) in the Abynsk region, 65km from the port of Novorossiysk with 8,000 acres of land and the possibility to lease an additional 25,000 acres with the help of the regional administration, or, 2. To buy the same amount of land in private ownership in the Severskaya region. Anagenesis will conduct a feasibility study regarding the production of bioethanol and, as opposed to competing in the local electricity market, export it on a weekly basis to Romania and Bulgaria so that it counts towards the European Union requirements for motorcar biofuel consumption of 6% by 2010.
